Anlässlich des Referendums über die Amtsenthebung von Hugo Chavez in Venezuela
zeigen wir am Sonntag einen Dokumentarfilm über Chavez' letzte Amtsenthebung -
den gescheiterten Putsch vom April 2002. "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised"
(ursprünglich als ein Portrait des 1998 gewählten Präsidenten begonnen, dann
jedoch durch den Staatsstreich zu einem Augenzeugenbericht geworden) macht vor
allem die Rolle des privaten venezuelanischen Fernsehens bei der versuchten
Machtübernahme der von den USA unterstüzten bürgerlichen Opposition sichtbar.

MM Was Sie links sehen (sofern Sie einen Font mit konstanter Zeichen-
--MM------ breite eingestellt haben), sind zum Glück keine Aktienkurse, sondern
MM unsere Besucherzahlen in den vergangenen Wochen. Die Popularität von
MM Michael Moore ist unschwer zu erkennen, wir danken aber auch allen,
--MM------ die zu Chris Marker und/oder Doom 3 gekommen sind. Wer sich für Doom
MM 3 interessiert, verlässt zur Zeit wohl ohnehin nicht das Haus. Auch
MM wir haben einen Grossteil dieser Woche damit verbracht, mit Hilfe
--MM------ des Doom 3 Editors das Bootlab nachzubauen. Es ist zwar noch nicht
MMCM der fertige Kinotrailer, der es eigentlich werden soll, einen ersten
MMCMD3 Walkthrough können wir aber am Sonntag bereits als Vorfilm zeigen.
Lustigerweise - und wie es sich für ein "Pirate Cinema" auch gehört - haben wir
vor ein paar Tagen einen ersten Drohbrief der Motion Picture Association of
America bekommen. Es reichte uns allerdings ein kurzer Blick in den Atlas, um
uns davon zu überzeugen, dass Berlin nicht in den USA - und damit ausserhalb des
Geltungsbereichs der von der amerikanischen Filmindustrie teuer eingekauften
Copyrightgesetze - liegt. Schreiben wie das unten angehängte können also in den
Müll. (Und wen's interessiert: anscheinend beobachtet die MPAA z.Zt. Suprnova.)
